International artists take to the stage for the Dream Party

Ex Manifattura Tabacchi, 11 January 2016. Fashion, music and technology unite for the Dream Party, featuring live performances from Youtube sensation Jasmine Thompson, model and singer Petite Meller, electro-pop group Dragonette, and NERVO, the twin DJ Duo from Down Under.

Jasmine Thompson

Jasmine Thompson

Since she made her debut on the British charts in 2013, singer-songwriter Jasmine Thompson has become a muse to a host of DJs and EDM producers.

Born to a Chinese mother and English father, both computer engineers, the internation Youtube sensation began singing and playing piano at age eight. Two years later she got her big break when her cover of Ain’t Nobody hit No.32 on the UK Singles chart. Since her debut on the British charts, London-born Thompson has become a favorite with some of the biggest names in the industry, including German DJ Felix Jaehn amd Robin Schulz who she collaborated with for Ain’t Nobody and Sun Goes Down respectively.

Now signed to Atlantic Records, Thompson’s affinity for sparkling dance-pop can be heard in her debut single Adore, which melds her breathy, emotionally resonant delivery with a pulsating electronic buoyancy.

Petite Meller - Ph. Alessandro Alex Fibbi

Petite Meller

Petite Meller is an international singer songwriter producing Nuvo-Jazzy Pop in French and English.

Petite’s debut video NYC TIME, co-directed by A.T.Mann & Mexican photographer Napoleon Habeica (American Apparel), is inspired by David Hamilton’s aesthetics and represents the voyage of rhythm to NYC.

Baby Love, her most noticeable track to date, catapulted the Parisian pop-star into the spotlight with its synth-pop melodies, lyrics that can’t help but get stuck in your head and spirited music video. Her latest tune Barbaric is once again a piano-driven, soaring-chorus smash that just won’t quit—and it’s made for your brain as much as your body. The picture of doll-like perfection, the French-polish artist, who is currently preparing her dissertation in philosophy at the Sorbonne, is known for her angelic childlike vocals.

In 2005 singer/songwriter Martina Sorbara, bassist/producer Dan Kurtz and drummer Jouel Stouffer formed Dragonette, an electro-pop band that calls Toronto home.

Smash collaborations with French DJ Martin Solveig, saw them almost constantly continent-hopping, sometimes swinging from Paris to Manila in a single weekend. After a bit of depressurization, the band hit the studio, not only working on new material for themselves, but also collaborating with top-flight electronic music producers from across the planet.

All this work has provided fresh fuel for Dragonette, who are currently putting the finishing touches on their as-yet-untitled 4th album, and Let the Night Fall is the first taste of that work. An anthem to overnight euphoria informed by their appearances at numerous dance festival, the song segues perfectly from their work with Dance Music’s brightest lights into Dragonette’s more complex world.

Electronic dance music’s first sisters – Mim and Liv Nervo of NERVO – have catapulted onto the international stage, straight from the pit in front of it.

These multi-talented DJ dynamos are the all-time top-ranking female DJs in the world, voted by their millions of fans to No. 21 on DJ Magazine’s influential 2014 ‘Top 100 DJs’ poll. Mim and Liv’s career took off in 2009, when they co-wrote and produced the emphatic and global hit When Love Takes Over – for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. Ranked by Billboard as the #1 Dance/pop collaboration of all time!

Having cemented their songwriting prowess with a global No. 1 (plus several other songs for artists like: Kesha, Kylie Minogue and Armin van Buuren), NERVO set out to pursue their own career as artists, by writing and producing their own songs under their artist name, NERVO.
